Wine and culture, wine and tradition. More than ever, those who love wine reach their dream of becoming a producer in Gaiole in Chianti, in Borgo Casa al Vento, Franceso Gioffreda decided to introduce something new to bring the consumer closer to the world of wine.

It is a simple and exciting idea: adopt a barrique and become a small producer. The success and quality of the Chianti Classico labels, “Aria” and “Foho”, and the beauty of this small but complete cellar join forces to make this idea a reality.

If you adopt a barrique, you buy the rights to bottle 300 bottles of wine with your personal label: the then adopted barrique carries the name of its adopted “father”.

In addition, you buy the rights to spend three nights during the year at a beautiful resort, to take care of your own barrique and learn production techniques.

The resort, in a beautiful area, gives you the extraordinary experience of bathing in wine which is a must for visitors of the Borgo Casa al Vento.

Once a home for sharecroppers, Borgo Casa al Vento is the result of an intelligent restoration done by the Gioffreda Family, who restored life to this wonderful rural architectural jewel, almost hidden in the Gaiole in Chianti territory, in the early 1990s.

The village is reached after crossing an unpaved road which begins in the town of Barbischio. While following this road, you leave asphalt and cement and enter into the heart of the countryside.

The houses in town are in stone, beams in sight, and fireplaces and terra-cotta floors recall the traditional local architecture.
