One of the big news of Vinitaly 2017 is the 5Star Wines The Book, the first guide ever published by a major international wine exhibition.
It includes labels from all over the world earning score of at least 90 from the panel of experts, and goes beyond the concept of competition and prize.
For this edition the panellists – comprising renowned international experts with specific geographic knowledge (Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, Sommeliers, expert wine writers) – were coordinated by Ian D’Agata, the Scientific Director of the Vinitaly International Academy.
A section of the guide is also dedicated to the wines in the Wine without Walls selection, assessed by a specialist jury chaired by Alice Feiring. T
he guide goes beyond the concept of competition and awards in order to provide companies with a promotional and marketing tool for all practical purposes through a unique mode of communication.
5Star Wines The Book 2017 will detail 441 wines, as well as the 17 wines in the Wine Without Walls selection. The first ever Best Wine Cellar of the Year – Grand Vinitaly 2017 was awarded to Banfi.

Capillary distribution and promotion will be ensured during Vinitaly and Vinitaly International events, as well as through social media.
