A preview presentation took place today at the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico stand in Vinitaly of the first board game produced by Collana VINUS, by Giochi Briosi, dedicated to the world of Chianti Classico.

The game includes questions on “Wines & Farms”, “Sayings & Tools”, “Food & Wine” and the history of the Gallo Nero, as an invitation to enjoy discovering one of the best-loved wine territories in our country.

“Few wines are born from an extraordinary relationship between a territory and its product like Chianti Classico – comments Sergio Zingarelli, Chairman of the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico. – Nature, culture, history, passion, human genius and art handed down through the centuries. Chianti Classico is all this, a kaleidoscope of human and natural elements, somehow brought together in this fun game we have the pleasure of sponsoring”.

During the game you might also come across famous characters, anecdotes and curiosities in the history questions: from Leonardo da Vinci to Michelangelo, Machiavelli, the great aristocratic wine families, Giovanni da Verrazzano and Kenneth Branagh.

The category cards define the type of questions: each card has questions to answer when your turn comes. When you choose an “unexpected events” card, the other players decide your category for you.

One point for each correct answer, and the skill of the players will determine how high the final score will be. The winner, of course, has the highest score.

A cute cartoon black rooster, represting our DOC’s historic emblem, accompanies the game: the language of the game is not too technical so that everyone can understand the questions and have fun playing.

The Chianti Classico game is for 2-6 players, ideally wine enthusiasts, of all ages.
