Leather production meets wine. Both symbols of Tuscany, hand-made Florentine leather goods and Chianti wine, are united today thanks to the collaboration born between Sapaf Atelier 1954, a leather factory run by master artisan, Andrea Calistri, and the Sant’Appiano winery, one of the oldest farms in Tuscany located in Barberino Val d’Elsa and run by Pier Francesco Bertini.

These are two businesses which have been family run for three generations and have recognized each other’s work: profoundly respecting their roots, but in continuous evolution.

This is a shared vision which has convinced Calistri and Bertini that there was a base for beginning a collaboration between wine and leather, two traditional Tuscan productions that look to the future.

The first step in this project is represented by a bottle carrier in precious leather, created by Sapaf Atelier 1954. Inside is a prestigious bottle of Syrah produced by the Fattoria Sant’Appiano.

The label and bottle carrier have a design in Liberty which characterizes all of the recent production of Sapaf Atelier 1954, taken from a bronze matrix from the 1950’s which is still used by the company.

In this mode, an excellent wine has a packaging to match, but not only: once the wine is consumed, the bottle carrier turns into a useful unisex shoulder bag.

This is a precious combination, featuring the pleasure of a good wine and the usefulness of an exclusive accessory. Add the value of the hand-made to the knowhow of both companies and you have an excellent product.
