In occasion of “Sapori e Profumi del Chianti”, which will take place in San Casciano this weekend, May 20 and 21, the “Gruppo dei Viticoltori del Chianti Classico Sancascianese”, under the name “San Casciano Classico”, will be present with a tasting stand and the sale of local wines along the streets of town.
In addition, tasting sessions will be held on the panoramic terrace on top of the Torre dell’Acqua (37 meters high). The guided tastings will take place both Saturday and Sunday in two time slots, at 6:30 PM and at 8 PM.
Each session will host the participation of 4 local producers which will vary per tasting. They will present their wines to a maximum of 16 guests at a time, taking advantage of the 360 degree views from the tower, in order to better explain the unique terroir which characterizes the vines of the San Casciano area.
The tastings will last 45 minutes. A list of participants will be taken at the desk in order of arrival during the days of the event and on Facebook on the San Casciano Classico page in the days prior to the event. There are 16 spaces available for each session.
