Not only Sage (Non solo Salvia): a three part course on herbs returns to the Landscape Museum in Castelnuovo Berardenga. The course consists of three meetings at the museum where you will learn to recognize and use seasonal herbs.

The first appointment, Saturday, September 10 at 9:30 AM will leave from the museum and head for the countryside on a stroll in search of species typical to late summer: dandelions, farinello, amaranth, nettle, malva, mullein, elder, rosehip, blackthorn, hawthorn.

The second meeting on Friday, September 16, at 6:30 PM will discuss natural cuisine, how to use spontaneous plants, what to beware of during the harvest and how to conserve the herbs. An aromatic salt will be prepared, a versatile condiment that allows you to flavor dishes and enrich them with the herbs used.

During the third meeting, on Friday, September 23, at 6:30 PM,  the theme will be health and well-being. The therapeutic properties and cosmetic use of aromatic herbs and flowers and the creation of infusions and oils from fresh or dried plants will be discussed.

The meetings are run by Claudia Renzi, herb collector and natural cuisine expert, author of the blog, granosalis.org. The cost for the three meetings is 30 Euros, 12 Euros for a single meeting. For information and registration: 0577351337, museo@comune.castelnovo.si.it.
