Olives, olive-presses and kitchen: these are the subjects of the photo competition organized in San Casciano

The Pro Loco of San Casciano organizes, in collaboration with the Municipality of San Casciano and the media partnership of the online magazines Il Gazzettino del Chianti and WeChianti, a photo competition on the occasion of the “Girolio” event that will take place in San Casciano on 2^nd and 3^rd December.

The theme is extra-virgin olive oil, to be illustrated in all its forms. From olive trees and the harvest, to the olive pressing and the everyday use of olive oil.

Participants can send a maximum of three photographs each. Each photo must have its own title. The competition is free and is open to everybody. Participation implies acceptance of the rules.

To register in the competition, you must fill in the registration form (that can be downloaded from the website www.prolocosancascianovp.com or from www.sancascianovp.net) and send it (by mail) to Il Gazzettino del Chianti (redazione@gazzettinodelchianti.it).

You must register and submit your photographs by 20^th November. It is advisable to send the registration form and photographs together.

Photographs will have to be sent by mail in digital format .jpg with a size of 2 to 8 megabytes to redazione@gazzettinodelchianti.it. It is recommended to use the WeTransfer file transferring system. Both colour and black and white pictures are accepted.

A jury of experts and professionals will choose the winners and all decisions will be final and binding. The jury reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude any image that is not in line with the requirements specified in the regulation.

The best photos will be exhibited at the Tourist Office and the Pro Loco office, in via Machiavelli 8, starting from December 2^nd. The participants’ photographs will be also shown during the “Girolio” event.

Every stage of the competition will feature prominently on both the Il Gazzettino del Chianti and WeChianti. After the competition, Il Gazzettino del Chianti will publish all the photos.

The best photo will be printed in 70×100 size and affixed in a public space.
