After the three awards received at Il Magnifico Olive Oil Award 2017 (one for packaging, one for emerging start-ups and, last but not least, the gold medal for quality), this year Mimì will enter four olive oils in the 2018 competition.

The company has the flavours of Apulia (it is located in Modugno, in the Bari province), family values and a true passion for the land.

It was created by Donato and Michele Conserva in 2015, in honour of their father Domenico (hence the name Mimì, short for Domenico).

Domenico, who died prematurely, now lives again through this enterprise, one that he’s always dreamed of establishing and which is now a reality thanks to his sons. A modern facility set among Apulia’s beautiful olive trees, from whose windows you can watch the various stages of the olive oil processing.

What’s special about Mimì? Top-quality products, new generation systems (all from Tavarnelle, three are Mori-Tem and one Pieralisi), and a great style of packaging and presentation.

The bottle has a minimal and personalized design. The brand logo is imprinted in the glass and then painted. The white top shows the family crest and their signature. The bottles come in fine packaging with the company’s logo, making it a lovely gift option.

“Il Magnifico 2017 Award was a great joy for us – Donato Conserva tells us – and proof that we’re on the right track, a validation of our working methods”.

“We’re proud of participating in this renowned contest – he continues – that offers us great visibility and marketing opportunities. As a plus, it’s a well-organised event in a fantastic location, and we get to meet some extraordinary… rivals”.

“In other countries packaging is taken very seriously, and Italian companies should also improve this aspect of the business – he explains – An excellent product is the base from which to start. But the first thing that strikes those who do not know the company is the packaging. If a company pays attention quality and aesthetics, it’s a good place to start”.

“In the future we want to increase the production potential – he reveals – We also have a project that has already taken shape: the 100 ml format bottle, in addition to the 250 and 500 ml ones”.

“This small bottle is a gem – he says, proudly – It’s perfect for tourists who travel by plane. And is also to be sold in restaurants: after having tried our olive oil during a meal, people can take it home to taste it on other dishes”.

“A special thanks – conclude the founders of Mimi – goes to the communication agency that we work with: Push Studio, and in particular to Massimo Gentile“.
