The “Città dell’Olio” have met the Holy Father, Pope Francis, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the birth of the association.

A work of high ideal value, a hymn to a millenary culture – that of the olive tree – a symbol of peace and brotherhood but also of redemption”.

The national association “Vittà dell’Olio” brings together 350 Italian olive territories, and has always been committed to the dissemination of the culture of olive and quality olive oil, in the protection and promotion of the environment and the olive and education landscape of the consumer, through programs aimed at schools.

In St. Peter’s Square he was present with a large delegation of oil city administrators: among them the vice president Marcello Bonechi (mayor of Castellina in Chianti).
