Radda in Chianti is among the 20 most attractive Italian small towns. This is what Skyscanner says, the global travel search engine that compares flights and airline ticket prices, hotel and car rentals, and finds the best deals on the market. One town has been chosen in each Italian region.

Skyscanner is a website visited every day by thousands and thousands of people, and every year it publishes a list of the most beautiful Italian villages/towns.

And this year it has been a great surprise to find Radda, a small town located in the province of Siena in the Chianti Classico region, listed amongst the top 20.

And Radda in Chianti is certainly in very good company: the others are Courmayer (Val d’Aosta), Orta San Giulio (Piedmont), Potovenere (Liguria), Varenna (Lombardia), Bressanone (Trentino Alto Adige), Battaglia Terme (Veneto), Fagagna (Friuli Venezia Giulia), San Leno (Emilia Romagna), Radda appunto per la Toscana, Castelluccio di Norcia (Umbria), Urbino (Marche), Civitella del Tronto (Abruzzo), Arpino (Lazio), Pisciotta (Campania), Torella del Sannio (Molise), Monte Sant’Angelo (Puglia), Rivello (Basilicata), Papasidero (Calabria), Scicli (Sicily), Posada (Sardinia).

“We are – writes Skyscanner about Radda – in the sublime Tuscan countryside, in Radda in Chianti, a small town perched on the hill that divides the Arbia and the Pesa valleys, guarded by mighty defensive walls. Its strategic position has given this town an historical importance and even if today it is no longer an important crossroads, we like to visit it because it fills the soul with pure Tuscan charm. Try the local delicacies and taste the finest red wines of the region”.
