The “Festa del Giaggiolo” (Iris Festival) in San Polo in Chianti: from 2nd to 5th May

In Spring the fields have the colours and scent of the Irises, or “giaggioli” as they are called in this part of the world.

And this year the highly anticipated Festa del Giaggiolo (Iris Festival)returns to San Polo in Chianti (near Greve in Chianti).

It’s organised by the town’s Tourist Committee, with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Greve in Chianti.

On Thursday and Friday, 2nd and 3rd May from 9pm, Saturday 4th May from 10.30am, Sunday 5th May from 9am: music, crafts, exhibitions, shows, tradition, food and wine tastings, children’s entertainment, sports.
