This is the authentic world that the Associazione Nazionale Città dell’Olio helps us discover during the third edition of the “Camminata tra gli olivi” event (Walking among olive trees).

This event, scheduled for Sunday, October 27th, will lead us to discover scenic hills, country roads and charming villages.

All around Italy people will be on their way to explore new itineraries and beautiful walks in the lands devoted to the production of extra virgin olive oil, and also to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Città dell’Olio association (Olive Oil Cities).

This year, right in time to celebrate the important anniversary of the association, the “Camminata tra gli olivi” has received a prestigious award from The Routes of the Olive Tree Foundation, which is based in Kalamata in Greece: the honorary prize “Recommended by the Olive Roads of the European Council. Buti and Vicopisano (Pisa), Castiglion Fiorentino (Arezzo), Reggello (Florence), Castagneto Carducci, Rosignano Marittimo (Livorno), Capalbio, Castel del Piano, Pitigliano, Seggiano, (Grosseto), Castellina in Chianti and Castelnuovo Berardenga in the territory of the Chianti Classico, Chiusi, Montepulciano, Murlo, Radicondoli, Rapolano Terme, Sinalunga and Trequanda (Siena): all these areas have selected several paths where olive trees and olive oil are the stars, where the charm of olive oil production is inextricably linked to historic homes, art sites and ancient olive oil mills.
