Francesco Sorelli, lover of writing stories and travel, who worked in communications from 2004 to 2007, is in charge of external relations for the Ruffino wine house. He is the father of two girls and “condemned” to a “crazy, desperate” love of the Florentine soccer team, Pirandellian to the point of complicating his life with tons of initiatives and wild flights. He recently was in charge of the publication of the book “La Toscana di Ruffino” (“Ruffino’s Tuscany”),edited by the Cucchiaio d’Argento. It is a voyage of images and words, encouraged by the joy of spending time together, of history, and of the food/wine culture of Tuscany; from saltless bread, to dining, the Sunday meal (including lampredotto), the “merenda” (snacktime), and wine and olive oil. In the blog, My Tales of Tuscany, he tells the story of the restoration of his country house which, like Penelope’s web, will never end. It permits him to bring to life his passion for architecture, (both poor and glamorous), of clay and bricks, and towards those who lived in these houses and glorified them with “il non si butta via niente” (nothing is thrown away), “poor” art and recycling, all by using wit and other devices.
