On 8 May in San Gusmè the great competition of homemade cakes

Sweet events in the Chianti spring, we cannot fail to mention the one organized by the Pro Loco of San Gusmè.

In fact, on Sunday 8 May the “Gara delle Corte” returns to Piazza Castelli, in the village of the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga (from 4 pm), on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

Those who want to participate will have to do nothing but: prepare their favorite cake (at least 12 portions); deliver it to the Pro Loco premises in Piazza Castelli on Sunday 8 May from 11 to 12 and from 14 to 15.

The “Gara delle Torte” will take place in Piazza Castelli from 4 pm: and those who buy the tickets-tasting, will have the right to vote.

Or, if you want, also … you.

At the end of the evening, the three most voted cakes will be awarded with trophies.

The entire profit of the day will be donated to AIRC (Italian Cancer Research Association) and to an association for the support of Ukrainian mothers in Italy.

In case of rain, the initiative will take place in the premises of the Philharmonic Society.
