The Opera, queen of summer, resounds from hill to hill, between the rows of vineyards and the olive groves that gently cover the sides of the Tuscan countryside.

The passion for music gives rise to an unprecedented collaboration between mutual friends and neighbors, united by the Chianti area.

Greve and Radda in Chianti embellish the cultural season under the stars by proposing in tandem a double appointment in the square dedicated to opera.

It is called “Chianti Music Opera Concerts” and is the event that links Piazza Francesco Ferrucci in Radda in Chianti and the church of Santa Croce in Greve in Chianti.

The first appointment will be held on Friday 14 August, at 21, in Piazza Ferrucci in Radda.

On stage one of the masterpieces of the opera repertoire, “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini, interpreted by the Compagnia d’Opera Italiana Firenze with Alessandra Tanzi, Favid Righeschi, Ricardo Crampton, Max Medero, Franco Rossi.

The concertmaster is Massimo Morelli, while the narrator is Franz Moser. The show includes the participation of the Choir of the Compagnia d’Opera Italiana Firenze.

In Greve in Chianti the opera, inserted in a cultural season in an antique, reduced and simplified key, will be the protagonist on Sunday 30 August at 9.15 pm.

The concert “Opera music and soundtracks”, realized in collaboration with the School of Music of Greve in Chianti and the natural shopping center Le Botteghe di Greve, is performed by the Chamber Orchestra of Greve in Chianti, composed by violinists Luca Rinaldi and Maurizio Matteuzzi, the violist Giulia Guerrini and the cellist Laura Gorkoff.

The events are promoted by the Municipalities of Greve in Chianti and Radda in Chianti.
