WeChianti presents the 2017 edition of the Granfondo del Gallo Nero with nine consecutive videos, from a general promotion to the analysis of the various itineraries.

The race will take place on September 24 in Radda in Chianti. In 2017, the Granfondo will also be a stop for the Prestigio di Cicloturismo, the circuit that has been gathering the most important cycling events in Italy for the last 22 years.

Is an important recognition for the young but already affirmed Tuscan cycling race that aims at the discovery of the Chianti territory on two wheels.

Therefore, the fifth Granfondo del Gallo Nero becomes a sort of “Giro d’Italia” for amateurs as it joins proven historic monuments like the Nove Colli of Cesenatico, Maratona des Dolomites in Corvara and the Sportful Dolomiti Race in Feltre.

There are two itineraries available to the cyclists according to their preparation with some novelties in the proposed trails. The most prepared will follow the 133 long trail with 2.675 meter climb which will first cross the Florentine side of the territory and then descend south towards the Siena side.

For those who want any easier trail, there is the 86 kilometers Mediofondo (1.579 meters climb). The trails are winding with short but intense climbs, enabling the cyclists to view the beauty and charm of the hills of Chianti during wine harvest.
