The new heart of the digital eco-system for Tuscany has been active for a few days: www.visittuscany.com is the site that unites many aspects of online tourist promotion.
It replaces turismo.intoscana.it and is the fruit of teamwork among the the Regione Toscana, Toscana Promozione Turistica and the Fondazione Sistema Toscana.
The platform, more than 9.000 editorial content and seven integrated websites, gathers the official databases of the receptive structures in Tuscany together with offers and events proposed by the territory.
There are thousands of ideas for trips, itineraries and proposals based on the amount of time at disposition that the digital visitor has based on destination, territory, season or type of landscape desired.
The new site has three guiding concepts: to relaunch the digital identity of the “terra del buon vivere” through an approach which appeals to emotions; to exhalt its contents through the multiplication of editorial possibilities and integration with social media and review sites; to offer a richer experience, simple and intuitive, adapted to all types of users.
The main challenge of the project is to involve all of the actors of the tourist ecosystem in Tuscany in promotional activities. Visittuscany, in fact, will act as a real and diffuse editor, gathering all protagonists to inter-react and contribute, taking advantage of new instruments and shared forms.
Territories, townships, businesses, operators, bodies and associations of territorial promotion, will find concrete opportunities to create a coherent digital identity with that of the region in a reserved area by using downloadable guidelines; to promote and publish original contents (experiences, products, events); to integrate and share databases and information.
At the end of the first phase of launching and experimentation, the Regione Toscana has an appointment for September 20 in Florence for a meeting where the possibilities offered by the new platform will be fine-tuned; not only workshops, but celebration and sharing of best practices and instruments for story telling about the destination.
