“Barberino Scendi e Sali” (Up and down in Barberino): night race in Barberino Val d’Elsa

With the splendid background of the historic center of Barberino Val d’Elsa, the “Atletica Castello” Club, in collaboration with the township of Barberino Val d’Elsa is organizing the 15th Edition of the “Barberino Scendi e Sali”, the fascinating nightime walking race which shouldn’t be missed.

The meeting place is at the Pineta of Barberino at 7 PM on June 23. Departure is set for 8:30 PM from the center of town. The routes are an 8 kilometer competitive race and a fun race of 4 kilometers. Entry fee is 5 Euros: the first 200 who sign up will get a race package (2 euros without the package).

In order to sign up for the competitive race you need a membership in Uisp, Fidal or another sports group and a medical certificate for competitive racing.

If you sign up on the evening of the race, you must present a copy of the sports medicine certificate. For the “fun” race, you don’t need a medical certificate.

There will be a special prize for the first 30 arrivals: a bottle of locally produced extra virgin olive oil. The first 30 men, 15 veteran men, first 5 “silver” men and first 15 women. will receive prizes. The first 5 clubs will be rewarded.
