On Thursday, June 30, at 8pm, the “osteria” (tavern), Mangiando Mangiando, in piazza Matteotti in Greve in Chianti, will hold the first in a series of events which will bring “Slow Food Firenze” to the Chianti region: “La Pasta e i suoi Condimenti” (Pasta and its Accompaniments), not your typical dinner, but a voyage across the world of pasta.
Giovanni Fabbri of the “Pastificio Artigianale” (Artisanal Pasta company) of Strada in Chianti, will take us on an itinerary to explore different types of grains, productive techniques and formats.
The tavern owner, Salvatore Toscano, will propose various condiments to accompany pasta according to its taste and form.
Types of pasta: Spaghettoni, Maniche di frate, Penne, Nastroni, Chiocciole. The condiments: Zafferano (saffron) del Chianti, Pecorino by Le Fabbrie, Caprini (goat cheese) by the farm, Podere Le Fornaci, Tarese del Valdarno, Parmigiano from white cows of Modena, seasonal vegetables and aromatic herbs. Wines by “Vallone di Cecione” of Panzano in Chianti.
