“Jack and Joe Theatre” presents a new production with the support of the Tuscan region and the patronage of the towns of Montespertoli and San Casciano.

“Il Circo dell’Umanita”, the (Circus of Humanity), against discrimination, intolerance, injustice, oppression and slavery, proposes a creative moment aimed at increasing sensitivity towards often violated human rights.

Denouncing every abuse, the theatre puts some of the 30 main human rights on stage. Musicians, singers, actors, dancers, street artists….painters, sculptors, designers, etc. will participate. They are creative souls united around the theme of Human Rights, a product of civilization, a progress of modern states which needs to be defended, in Italy as well as elsewhere.

The “happening” begins on June 30, and for four weeks, with three appointments per week, it will take place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Casa Maiano.

The theatre, the farmhouse where the director, Adriano Miliani lives, is beautiful. It is found, along with a hectare of fields which surround it, in Cerbaia.

Guests will be greeted upon their arrival at the dinner hour, by a buffet of high quality local products, wine and olive oil as well as by a set of figurative works on the theme. After enjoying the sunset on the Val di Pesa with both eyes and palate, a walk through the property, among olive groves vineyards and fields, will begin.

There, visitors will meet the artists and their contributions on the theme of human rights. The voyage will be unusual and suggestive with nature as protagonist, making the event even more magical. Considering the places where the scenes evolve, comfortable clothing is suggested.

The happening will last about an hour. When it is finished, guests will return to the barnyard where they can mingle while eating dessert and sipping wine.

Participating artists are of varying nationalities, Italian and not, some of whom are internationally known. The cast changes every week. In this way, the peaceful demonstration can hear more world voices. For information on the artists, schedule, and costs: info@jackandjoetheatre.it. Tel: 335482883 (Mirella).
