More than eight thousand cyclists attended Sunday 6 October, in Gaiole in Chianti, at the XXIII edition of L’Eroica, the most loved and imitated era cycling tourism in the world.
More than eight thousand presences that constitute the new limit of this Tuscan pedal event that continues to grow over the years and to infect all over the world with Eroica in California, Holland, Spain, Great Britain, Japan, South Africa, Germany and Japan. From next year also in China.
Eight thousand cyclists arriving from every continent and with foreigners in strong numerical growth, now almost 40% of the total. A global event, therefore, to which above all Germans, Swiss, Dutch, Belgians but also Americans and Australians contribute, to mention only some of the most distant countries.
L’Eroica fascinates more and more for the magnificent territory in which it develops, for the values, not only sports, which expresses, for the emotions it gives, any path you choose among the five available, from the simplest, so to speak , of 46 kilometers to the most demanding and demanding, of 209 kilometers that unites the Chianti and the Brunello, Gaiole in Montalcino passing through Asciano, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Buonconvento, Brolio to mention, at random, some of the most beautiful and characteristic villages crossed by L’Eroica.
