Summer in the Sienese Chianti is once again full of good music, theater and entertainment.

The Municipalities of Castelnuovo Berardenga, as leader, Castellina in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti return to join forces for a new edition of the Chianti Festival which from 7 to 29 July will animate the three Chianti municipalities.

With events for all ages, including music, circus and prose shows.

The event, now in its 23rd edition, also this year counts on the collaboration with the Toscana Spettacolo onlus Foundation, which shares the artistic direction with Matteo Marsan. All events will start at 21.30.

The appointments

The Chianti Festival will open on Thursday 7 July in the village of San Gusmè, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, with the musical performance Omaggio a Fossati – Of love, war, commitment and airplanes.

The show will feature singer-songwriter Simone Baldini Tosi who, accompanied by his ensemble, will stage some songs from Ivano Fossati‘s repertoire.

 

Saturday 9 July the Chianti Festival will arrive in Gaiole in Chianti, in Piazza Ricasoli, with the show Toscanacci – Laughter and other antibodies, which will involve the public between humor and fun in Tuscan sauce with the trio composed of Paolo Hendel, Andrea Kaemmerle and Riccardo Goretti, new star of the Italian contemporary theater.

On Friday 15 July, Gaiole in Chianti will again host the third appointment: Sconcerto d’amore – The musical acrobatics of a couple in disagreement, produced by the Nando and Maila Company, with an Italian-style concert-comedy that will feature Ferdinando D’Andria and Maila Sparapani.

On Tuesday 19 July the Chianti Festival will arrive in Castellina in Chianti, in Piazza del Comune.

Where Anna Meacci, Daniela Morozzi and Chiara Riondino will stage The girls of San Frediano, a tribute to the Florentine writer Vasco Pratolini, author of the novel of the same name, to the city of Florence and to the female universe.

 

The next day, Wednesday 20 July, the Chianti cultural festival will return to the territory of Castelnuovo Berardenga, and more precisely to Vagliagli, where the Willos’ will be the protagonists of An Irish night.

An Irish night with songs, music and words linked to Celtic culture that they will involve the public in a dancing atmosphere with captivating rhythms.

The Chianti Festival will close on Friday 29 July in Castellina in Chianti, again in Piazza del Comune, in the company of Lorenzo Baglioni and his show We are the photos we discard, which sees the theme of communication as a common thread, very current in the era of web and digital natives.
