Vitique in the Chianti Classico, Greve in Chianti, will be the next stop for Leonardo da Vinci’s codices, which are the stars of an exceptional exhibition from 31st October to 4th November.

“Vi aspetto da 500 anni” (“I have been waiting for 500 years”) is the exhibit dedicated to the great Tuscan genius, that will offer visitors a unique opportunity to browse, page by page, the volumes of a prestigious collection of copies of the codices signed by Leonardo da Vinci ; a collection of anatomical studies, drawings of military machines, optics, astronomy and many other themes that were dear to him.

The exhibition, promoted by Vitique and Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo, and curated by EvOrArt, under the patronage of the Municipality of Greve in Chianti, opens on October 31st at 6pm with an aperitif open to the general public, and ends on the 4th of November. Local authorities and organisers will be present.

Open from 4pm to 8pm, the exhibit will feature a video to guide visitors through the “reading” of the codices. Free admission.

Once you’ve enjoyed the exhibition, and admired the works of Leonardo da Vinci, it will be possible, for those who wish, to savour and be pampered by the cuisine of chef Antonio Guerra at the Vitique restaurant.
