“Le Capre al Podere”: a celebration of locally produced goat cheese.
On 21st June Vitique dedicates an evening to the goat cheeses produced on the Podere le Fornaci farm, which will be used in a variety of delicious dishes created by the chefs of Vitique.
At Vitique they always choose the best local products, and in this case they didn’t have to travel far to find a farm that makes tasty top-quality cheeses. Set on the road that leads to Greve in Chianti, Podere Le Fornaci produces unique goat cheeses with an authentic flavour.
Every dish will be paired with the wines of Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo.
Beetroot meringue, goat cheese mousse and dehydrated olives (Santa Margherita Spumante Brut Rosé); Roasted leek, goat cheese with herbs, carbonara foam and ‘polvere di guanciale’ (Pinot Bianco Athesis Alto Adige Doc 2016); Calamarata, goat ricotta cheese, raw red prawn, peas and tomato (Sassoregale Rosé Maremma Toscana Doc 2017); Risotto with goat milk, sage and shallot with balsamic vinegar (Lamole di Lamole Chianti Classico DOCG 2015); Beef sirloin, Capreggio fondue and potatoes (Cà Maiol Fabio Contato Valtènesi Dop 2011); Goat ricotta cheese ice cream, honey and walnut crumble and red fruits (Cantina Mesa Orodoro Isola dei Nuraghi Igt Passito).
Price: 40 euros per person. Dinner starts at 8.30pm tasting, followed by a tour of the Santa Margherita Tenimenti Toscani winery.
