An excellent product can only originate from a unique and particularly suitable territory.

To stress this concept, the Chianti Classico wines are presented at Vinitaly 2018 with a large stand in the area dedicated to Tuscany, set up with the image of “Il Signore del Chianti Classico” designed by Max Information (Gruppo Armando Testa).

In the Consortium’s new communication campaign the Black Rooster – distinctive symbol of this denomination – becomes a manlike character who accompanies us on a long journey through time. Changing costumes and clothes, it travels from 1716 to the present, against the unvarying background of the Chianti territory.

The Chianti Classico Wine Consortium will offer its wines for tasting to wine sector professionals, the press and all wine enthusiasts from 15th to 18th April at the new stand in Padiglione 9 (D 2-3-4).

But there will be other events dedicated to the wines of the Black Rooster during the fair.

After the record breaking 2018 preview, that saw 186 companies present, the Consortium’s stand at Vinitaly is broadly representative: 104 companies and 200 labels of Chianti Classico Gallo Nero. Almost one label out of 5 is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione.

In addition to the wine offered for tasting with a sommelier service, nine Chianti Classico wineries will participate with their independent space in the Consortium stand.

While the producers present their excellent wines, the Consortium stand will also host an interesting series of meetings and seminars, some of which are already sold out.

“In addition to the new communication campaign, this year’s main novelty is an area with about 20 seats for meetings with the public”.

These are the words of the director of the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium, Carlotta Gori.

“This area – she adss – will be set up next to the reception and will host a series of events dedicated to our wines, the Chianti Classico DOP Olive Oil and to some of the Consortium’s partner products, like the Tuscan pecorino cheese IGP and S. Felice mineral water”.

“In addition to these – she consludes – there will be three events dedicated to “the aromas of wine”, with special installations that already had great success in the latest edition of the Chianti Classico Collection”.
