From the Heart of Tuscany and the passion for wine. From the unique Character of a territory and its people. From the centuries-old Culture safeguarded by the producers of Chianti Classico.
Three buzzwords for Chianti Classico 2017, three cornerstones of the oldest designation in Italy, three raisons d’être of Gallo Nero wine.
These are the key concepts to represent the new visual impact of the Consorzio’s stand at Vinitaly, decorated with photos from the Chianti Tellers exhibition [HERE THE DETAILS], by young and promising Tuscan artist Dario Garofalo.
Chianti Classico in Verona
The Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico will expect wine experts, members of the press and enthusiasts on 9th-12th April at the new stand in Pavilion 9 (D 2-3-4) to taste our wines, not to mention other opportunities dedicated to Gallo Nero wines during the Fair.
Following the success of the Collection 2017 attended by 185 wine estates, the Consorzio’s stand at Vinitaly will also represent a large number of producers: 111 estates and 214 Chianti Classico Gallo Nero wines. Our leading wine type will also be highly visible: almost one out of five wines is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione.
While the producers present their new bottled wines, the Consorzio will hold a press conference on Monday 10th April at 4.30pm to announce the developments in the Brand intelligence & protection sul web project, carried out with Convey srl, and a new version of the “Mille Miglia” race in the Siena area of Chianti.
Tuesday 11th April: two iconic wine territories meet in an important tasting guided by Raoul Salama, “When the Grandes Cuvées of Champagne meet the Gran Selezione of Chianti Classico”.
The coteaux of Champagne and the hills of Gallo Nero have come together in an agreement between their respective consortia, signed in December 2016, for a strategic partnership project to protect and promote their designations, thus reinforcing the connection between the cities of Reims and Florence, twinned since 1954. The tasting will be held in the Sala Argento by invitation only.
Wednesday 12th April: this time the focus is on “Chianti Classico & Co.” inside the DoctorWine Selection, during the Vinitaly tastings. Daniele Cernilli will describe eight Chianti Classico wines, with two outsiders, to explain the vast scope of the Gallo Nero territory. Free entry to those who register (redazione@doctorwine.it).
