An “a cappella” Christmas concert arrives at the church of San Pancrazio on Saturday, December 17, at 9 PM when the “Gospel of Free Music Ensemble” sings.
Composed of 25 singers and directed by Barbara Calamai, the chorus is from Sesto Fiorentino and was born in 2004 of a group of friends coming from diverse musical and artistic experiences.
“The songs we propose”, says the Free Musci Ensemble, “are spiritual and gospel, but we call ourselves ‘free music’ because we like to use various musical styles, adding Italian songs to our repertoire”.
The group has exhibited in theatres, churches, homes and auditoriums, both for choral presentations as well as benefit performances. In 2013, they performed in San Casciano.
