Montefioralle Divino: it's a record! Almost 1.000 goblets sold

The second edition of Montefioralle Divino ended on a very positive note. The event took place on September 24-25 in Montefioralle and hosted a wine tasting of 10 producers/bottlers which belong to the “Associazione Viticoltori (wine producers) of Montefioralle”: Altiero, Brogioni Maurizio, Castello di Verrazzano, Grassi Roberto, Montefioralle, Podere Campriano, San Cresci, Terre di Baccio, Villa Calcinaia, Viticcio.

989 tasting goblets were sold, 61% more than in 2015, and total participants were estimated to be over 1.500. In addition, more than 43 people, among wine lovers, sommelier, journalists and workers participated on Sunday, September 25, in the “Degustazione (tasting) Orizzontale del Chianti Classico Riserva 2010”, organized with the collaboration of a delegation from FISAR, Italian Federation of Sommelier, Hotel and Hospitality workers.

The director of the Greve in Chianti bank, Monte Dei Paschi di Siena, was thanked for their contribution of 2000 euros donated to set up the festival. The appointment for the third edition is for the fourth week in September… September 23 and 24, 2017.
