The Venice Film Festival welcomes Chianti Classico Carpineto. Among the long list of films, we find the screening of the “Duel of Wine”, an Italian-Argentinian coproduction, distributed by Exitmedia.

It highlights the duel of the century between two of the most famous sommeliers in the world. Wine lovers and not are anxiously awaiting the second film of Nicolas Carreras with living legend Charlie Arturaola, as protagonist.

The film is a panorama of Italian wines, with scenes filmed in some of the finest areas of Chianti Classico wine production, as well as those of Barolo and Suave.

Scenes from Miami, New York, and Paris are in the movie. The opening scene takes place in the Palazzo Vecchio of Florence.

We meet Carpineto Chianti Classico Reserve at the Hotel Danieli of Venice during one of the blind elimination events in the World Championship of sommeliers, when Luca Gardini, who interprets himself as a rising star, and Charlie Arturaola, take their time to describe it: intense ruby red color, elegant perfume, harmonious, persistent, long tasting, smooth, full.

Arturaola, disguised as a mysterious count, even guesses the location of the vineyard, Dudda, not far from Greve in Chianti, historic seat of Carpineto. It is located between Florence and Siena, an area of astounding beauty. The bottle is unmasked, and once again the two wine experts are correct; we see the label in a close up.

The film will be celebrated on September 6 at the grand Hotel Excelsior with an exclusive filming at 12:30, in the presence of Charlie Arturaola. In addition to the world wide expert of tasting, another prima donna, Carpineto Chianti Classico Reserve, will be on the scene. It will highlight cocktails on the terrace for the few connoisseurs of great wines immediately after the film. At the end of September, the entertaining comedy about the world of wine will appear in the main cinemas of Italy: Rome on November 29, Florence on October 1, etc.

Carpineto will also be protagonist of the events of Venice on September 4. The Tuscan company will offer wines at one of the most exclusive parties of the world event, with guests from the international jet set, and lovers of the big screen.

“The Venice Film Festival is one of the most prestigious in the world. It is there that artists in the public eye as well as the glamorous and refined meet. This was one of the reasons”, affirms Antonio Michael Zaccheo from the younger generation of Carpineto, “which convinced us to think about a partnership. It is a pleasure to share the joy of drinking excellent Tuscan wine with this beautiful framework and in an occasion of great value. We are convinced that the combination of wine and culture exalts the pleasure of the arts”.

“Having our Chianti Classico as a protagonist in the ‘Duel of Wine’, an elegant film that tells the world about the excellent synthesis between lifestyle and sociality, is a winning combination that will make the evening of September 6 a grand party filled with joy and passion. Our company has been introducing Tuscan taste to the world for 50 years. Through great wines of Tuscany, we have tried to transmit culture and the art of life.”

Carpineto was born of a dream almost 50 years ago. We wanted to combine the three most important denominations of the region: Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Monepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino. Today, Carpineto strongly represents the best Tuscan winemaking.
