The exhibit, Art and Wine, took place on Sunday, June 5 at Badia a Passignano. It was moved from June 2 due to bad weather and was a success.

The event was promoted and organized by the Fattoria di Montecchio, Florence Unicef, the Meyer children’s hospital and the Banca (Bank) di Credito Cooperativo di Cambiano with the patronage of the Tuscan Region and the town Union of the Chianti Fiorentino area.

The program began in the morning with “Lambrettando”, second edition of the rally dedicated to lovers of the famous Innocenti scooters.

The participants came from all over Tuscany and enjoyed a tour of the Chianti hills, an aperitif at the Circolo di San Donato in Poggio and a visit to the Montecchio wine cellars. Simultaneously, there was an exhibit of the works of many talented local artists and sculptors, an artisan market and guided tours of the Badia (Abbey).

At 1:30pm the scooters returned and lunch was served: first courses, grilled meats, wine, and biscotti and holy wine.

The afternoon hosted an auction of excellent local wines, and the President of the Lambretta Club, Fabio Fregonas, presented a check from the auction to Gianpaolo Donzelli, president of the Meyer Foundation. Thanks go to the hospitality of the Benedictine monks of Vallombrosa and to the volunteers of the Badia for a successful day.
