“The Concerts of Badia”, a prestigious alchemy of notes and voices scheduled until July 27, echo back in the monastic refectory of Badia a Passignano (Barberino Tavarnelle) frescoed by Domenico Ghirlandaio who in 1476 left a trace of his genius in the masterpiece depicting the Cenacle .
The hallmark of the initiative, coordinated by the president of the Association of Friends of Music Sebastiano Renna and the honorary president Giuseppe Garro, is the presence of the great musicians of the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany (ORT).
Saturday, July 13th, Silvia Chiesa’s cello and Maurizio Baglini’s piano in the concert directed by Maestro Manlio Benzi, with music by Rota, Schubert and Webern.
On July 19 Bach is on stage with the interpretation of Augusto Gasbarri and Flautist Fabio Fabbrizzi. The evening will be enriched by the Suite n. 1 and from the concert in D minor for flute and orchestra Wq.22 – Suite n. 2.
On the last appointment the curtain will rise on July 27th with “Ti racconto Don Giovanni”.
The abbey of Badia a Passignano will host the Ensemble of arcs and wind instruments of the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany and the actor Alessandro Riccio with a repertoire that between strength and beauty from the most beautiful pages of Mozart’s opera production.
The public will be delighted by the notes of Don Giovanni, the second of the three Italian operas that Mozart wrote on a libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte.
