The readers of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia – the Asian edition of the American magazine dedicated to luxury travel and lifestyle – have recently chosen Tuscany as “the best wedding destination in the world”.
The votes have been collected over the course of three months, and at the end of October Tuscany won an overwhelming victory.
Carlotta Ferrari, director of the Destination Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau – Tuscany for Weddings division: “A special thanks goes to the Regione Toscana that constantly promotes the territory, recommending landscapes, cities, but also beautiful villas and some of our region’s unconventional locations. Tuscany is confirmed as being an extremely popular Italian region for destination wedding (31.9%) “.
“The ‘Tuscany for Weddings division’ – a project in partnership with Toscana Promozione Turistica – is constantly working to show all the wonders that the region offers, taking part in international trade fairs and events, but also through online and offline marketing and communication campaigns”.
The Centro Studi Turistici of Florence, with the Destination Weddings in Italy 2016 research, confirms that our destination has already hosted 2,567 destination weddings, with an average of 54.980 Euros spent per event and with over 141,1 million Euros spent for good and/or services.
