Barberino devotes two days to truffles. Saturday, September 30th and Sunday October 1st, it’s time to celebrate the good life, traditions and typical local products.
This is TartuFiera, the second event that the municipality hosts after last week’s successful excursion in search of hidden treasures.
Along the streets of the historic centre the stalls will be dedicated to truffle, the star of the country table. On Saturday 30thSeptember, in Via Vittorio Veneto, from noon to 10pm, you’ll find delicious truffle dishes.
On Sunday 1st October the stalls will open at 9am. At 4pm there will be a cooking show by Tartufo in Tour of Eleonora Poli.
Barberino Arancione joins the ‘orange flags’ events of the Touring Club Italiano with a tour that leads to the charming Pieve di Sant’Appiano country church, the Chapel of San Michele Arcangelo in Semifonte and the ancient hamlet of Petrognano where history, myth and innovation intertwine in an enchanting location.
During the two days of the festival citizens and visitors will be able to join the route organized by the Municipality by contacting the Tourist Office of Barberino Val d’Elsa – 055.8075319 – ufficioturistico@barberinovaldelsa.net.
