The Association of Winemakers of Montefioralle are presenting the second edition of the “Montefioralle Divino” (Divine Montefioralle) Festival, to introduce the wines of the associated wineries.

The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25 in piazza Santo Stefano, the main piazza of Montefioralle, the medieval village in the Township of Greve in Chianti.

The event is scheduled for 10 AM to 7 PM on both days. There will be stands in the piazza to allow the producers to display and offer tastings of their wines: the public can buy a goblet for 10 Euros, which will include the tasting of all wines present.

There will also be food stands, in addition to the bars and restaurants in the town that will be open for both days of the event.

On Sunday, September 25, at 11 AM, at the same time of the display, there will be a tasting event in collaboration with the FISAR  delegation (Federation of the Italian Sommeliers and hospitality workers) of Florence.

To be specific, the various producers will lead the tasting of the Chianti Classico Reserve, 2010 vintage of the associated wineries. The event is free with required reservations at: associazione@viticoltorimontefioralle.com. There are 40 spots available for the wine tasting.

A shuttle from Piazza Matteotti in Greve in Chianti (town hall side), will be available, with departure and arrival service to and from Montefioralle on both days from 2 PM till 7 PM.

Last year, 614 goblets were sold in the two days of the event, with the participation of approximately 1000 people. There were 45 participants in the FISAR guided winetasting which will be very popular this year.
