A very special barbecue was organized at the foot of the splendid Villa Le Corti on Thursday, September 1. In addition to the excellent food, one was able to enjoy a splendid sunset among the vineyards and olive groves of the Corsini estate.
100 people were seated between the wine cellar and the oil mill. Dining by candlelight, they were accompanied by the music of Roberto and Cristina to celebrate the beginning of the wine harvest.
The event was organized by Prince Duccio Corsini, his wife Clotilde and their son, Filippo. The talented cooks from the “Osteria Le Corti”, Rossella and Laura, prepared typical Tuscan dishes, next to the grill where the butcher, Stefano Secci, and Sandra grilled the tasty beef.
All was seasoned by the precious extra virgin olive oil produced by the Corsini’s. There were also excellent cheeses from the Panzano farm,”La Cipressaia”.
The meal was enhanced by the Chianti Classico wine produced by the Villa Corsini estate. Part of the evening’s proceeds were devolved to the town of Amatrice, hit by the recent earthquake.
