The Sms Poggio alla Croce has organized a summer full of events Poggio alla Croce, situated in the hills which separate the Chianti region from the Valdarno, between Greve in Chianti and Figline Valdarno.
The program is as follow. Events will take place in piazza del Giaggiolo and all music and theatre shows are free.
Saturday, June 25, at 8pm: the Festa delle Ficattole (fried dough) in piazza, “Atto primo…inizia l’estate”, (First act…summer begins), live music with Davide.
Saturday, July 2, at 9pm, Teatro (Theatre) in Piazza with the amateur theatrical company, “Gli improvvisati” (the Improvisors”) will present the comedy, “La cena delle cretine” (The dinner of the morons), by Daniele Brandani, director Giovanna Curreli.
Saturday, July 9, at 9pm: Teatro in Piazza with the Cultural Association, Masaccio, in the commedy, “L’ala o la coscia? Questo e’ il problema” (The wing or the thigh? That is the problem), by S. Sottile, director S. Alpini.
Saturday, July 16, starting at 8pm: “Apericena a sorpresa” (surprise Aperitif dinner) in piazza, thanks to the Association Maestri de Gusto, Maestri dell’Arte. Live music with Silvia Nencetti.
Saturday, July 23, at 9pm: Brazilian evening with “caipirinha, capoeira and animation by professors Davide and Sabado (Gruppo Coquinho Baiano Firenze).
Friday, July 29, at 8pm: “Spritz the rally”, second edition of Apericena in Piazza.
Saturday, July 30 at 9pm: musical evening in Piazza with the group “Smoking notes”, a band devoted to the classic standards of swing.
Saturday, August 6 at 8pm: Apericena in Piazza (“Il Gran Fritto”…the Big Fry…2) sponsored by the Association Maestri del Gusto, Maestri dell’Arte. Live music with Silvia Nencetti.
Saturday, August 27 at 8pm: Festa delle Ficattole in Piazza, “Atto secondo….l’estate sta finendo”, (Second act…summer is ending) Live music with Simone and Simona.
