“Mercantiere d’Estate” 2021, in Mercatale (San Casciano), is inevitably an edition that is affected by the effects of the pandemic.
But already the preparation of a series of events, with the hinge in the celebrations for Santa Gennara, makes us optimistic.
It started on July 13 with the presentation of the book by Cesare Paoletti, “Our father between spirituality, philosophy and poetry”.
It continues on Thursday 22 July, at 9.30 pm in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, with Nuove Trasparenze in concert.
Sunday 25 July Liberation Day.
On Monday, July 26, Santa Gennara is celebrated: at 8.30 morning lauds; at 11 am blessing of children and young people; at 5 pm adoration of the SS. Sacrament; at 17.30 seconds solemn vespers.
At 6 pm Solemn Mass with blessing of the town with the relic of the Saint.
At 7 pm aperitif at the people’s house; at 8 pm dinner of the patron saint at the Mcl club (by reservation, 055821586).
At 9.30 pm in Piazza Vittorio Veneto “Let’s play Tombola”, prize bingo with Alessandro Masti.
Wednesday 28 July, at 9.30 pm in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Refrain in concert.
