Three days of peace, great products and breathtaking panoramas in a unique and authentic structure: Borgo Casa al Vento.
“Cucina e Degustazioni” (cooking and tastings) will take place in Borgo Casa al Vento, a village in stone facing the Chianti Classico Siena zone.
Here, in Barbischio, in the township of Gaiole in Chianti, we seem suspended between the earth and the sky. The village is reached after crossing an unpaved road which begins in the town of Barbischio.
After leaving the asphalt and cement, we enter the heart of the countryside. The houses are in stone, there are open beams, fireplaces are in terra-cotta. Everything recalls the local architectural tradition.
On the first day, you check in and have a three course dinner, in the village restaurant. The second day, buffet breakfast, visit to the winery, vineyard and wine cellar are included. Then there is the cooking experience.
The owner, Francesco Gioffreda explains: “during the lesson with our chef we prepare two typical courses and the final lunch for a total of three hours.
In the evening, the dinner with three courses including beverages is in the village restaurant. Finally, on the third day, there is a breakfast buffet and check out”.
Essentially, reservations in a standard room with breakfast, two dinners, a cooking lesson with a final lunch and drinks are €240 per person.
An extra night is €70 euros per person. Prices include VAT but not the tourist tax of €1.5 per person per day.
