The voice of the theatre, dance and music returns to the natural stage of piazza Samonà in San Casciano in a “short” form.

There will be 5 days of events, shows and performances from June 19-23 which will expose the problems and contradictions of our times.

Such is the objective of the 13th edition of the “Festival di Teatro Azione” (Action Theatre Festival), which, after having treated complex themes like money, hypocrisy, economy, and power, will offer its opinion of the difficult question regarding the environment; a question which bring to attention, the good, the life and the future of our planet.

It is an unusual and direct magnifying glass whose starting point begins the title, “Terra, Arret!” (World, Stop!). Directed by Patrick Duquesne, the Festival is organized by the cultural association “Laboratorio Amaltea”, Amaltea Workshop, in collaboration with Libertalia and the contribution of the Town of San Casciano.

The opening event is the presentation of the book, “Paspartu a piedi senza meta nell’Italia che si fida”, (Paspartu walking around a trusting Italy without a destination). It is by the writer, walker and photographer, Riccardo Carnovalini and by Anna Rastello.

In the evening there will be a performance by Titta Nesti, accompanied on the cello and flute by Ellie Young.

Within the arena space inside the walls, shows and “shorts” will be presented by some companies familiar to the Festival: the Spalle Bagnate (Wet Shoulders) Company, the dance company of Valerio Bellini and the “Collettivo” CDC-Angela Placanica. The Festival will end with a reading of the new production of the Arca Azzurra Theatre, “Il filo dello’acqua” (the thread of water) whose national debut is scheduled for next November.

Every evening at 7pm there will be an aperitif/pizza with “Spiazza la pizza in piazza”.
