For the night of San Lorenzo, Tuesday 10 August, famous for the rain of falling stars (the Perseids), an easy and regenerating walk on Monte San Michele, in the municipality of Greve in Chianti.

Out of the heat and light of the cities. Up here, at an altitude of 850 meters, (expected temperature around 20 degrees) there is a wonderful panoramic terrace overlooking the Chianti and the sea.

An easy walk in the cool woods, a spectacular sunset and then the starry sky hoping to see some shooting stars. The refuge will be open for a good coffee and a sweet.

Su will then leave to return to the cars at night, in the woods, suspended between the silence of the night and the noises of nocturnal animals.

Nature, fresh air, landscapes, photography, sunset, shooting stars, return at night, wild animal calls.

An easy walk on trails of about 9 km. To be done with clothes suitable for walking at night in a mountain environment, mandatory trekking shoes (better if they are high at the ankle). Sticks, water and a packed dinner, headlamp recommended.

Meeting at 6.15 pm in front of the Badiaccia restaurant in Montemuro (in the municipality of Radda in Chianti). Small group: maximum 15 participants. Excursion cost: 15 euros per person which includes organization and environmental guide service for the entire excursion.

The guide is provided with regular legal insurance. Participants are not covered by personal accident insurance.
