For Christmas holidays 2019, a very rich calendar of events proposed by the Municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle.
From 7 December 2019 to 6 January 2020, in Piazza Matteotti in Tavarnelle, an ice skating rink: inauguration on 7 December at 3 pm with shows, animation and music.
Saturday 7 December at 6 pm at Palazzo Malaspina, in San Donato in Poggio, inauguration of the Free Competition for Cribs: “Nativity Scenes in an Exhibition” (fifth edition). The award ceremony will take place on Sunday 12th January at 5 pm at the Philharmonic Society
Also in Tavarnelle, on December 8th from 9am to 7pm, Christmas Market along the streets of the town and at 4pm Gospel Concert in Piazza Cresti.
In Barberino Val d’Elsa (historic center) on December 22nd from 9am to 7pm “Il Borgo di Babbo Natale”, all for children. With Christmas market, collection of Santa Claus letters, games, entertainment and workshops for children.
At Tavarnelle on 6 January at 3 pm “The Befana arrives at the ice rink”; to follow puppet show in Piazza Matteotti.
In the hamlet of Barberino Val d’Elsa on 5 and 6 January “Living Nativity” from 16 to 19.
Retracing the main moments of the Nativity, the Nativity scene comes to life: and on January 6th at 4:30 pm the Magi arrive… .
