The sixth edition of the workshop “InCanto Tignano” for young opera singers will take place from July 2nd to 9th in the village of Tignano near Barberino, with the artistic direction of the soprano and actress Nicola Beller Carbone.

The intensive summer course offers complementary lessons to traditional courses of study, focused solely on vocal technique. The planned activities focus on interpretation and performance, on imagination and creativity, interaction of technique and art, body and voice, mind and intuition.

In the words of Beller Carbone: “We believe that an artist is formed through a broad creative process, which involves mental attitude, and the use of voice and body. All of these elements create a powerful unity.”

“The discovery of our skills and the courage to experiment by expanding our limits – she concludes – are the main aim of the course. InCanto Tignano is not only a training course in contemporary art, but also an opportunity for aspiring opera singers for networking. We believe it’s important to support performers, especially in the contemporary world of the opera which is constantly changing.”

The course is divided into individual lessons and group sessions; the lessons will be held in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish; students are invited to present their selection of pieces to undertake a deep exploration and development of the character.

Registration deadline on May 15th; for information and enrolments: incanto.tignano@gmail.com.
