The town of Monsanto (Barberino Val d’Elsa) will feature an art competition on Sunday, September 10, from 9:30 AM till 8:30 PM.
Artists using all techniques and tendencies will participate. The event is organized by the Compagnia di Monsanto.
The competition celebrates the 6th edition of the food/wine/cultural event, “Calici d’Arte”. The theme is “improvisation” and the event will be held in the suggestive Piazza don Ugo Cianferoni with the title; “Impressioni di settembre”.
Artists can participate with a single work of art, but during the event, they will be able to present previously completed works to the public.
In addition, during the day, the artists can move around the streets of town painting any place that inspires them. The works of art, created on previously marked canvas, must be consigned to the jury by 5:30 PM.
Professional judges in the art field will be on hand all day. At the end of the contest, 3 prizes will be awarded: 1st prize, 200 euros; 2nd prize, a coupon for the store, “Belle arti Fabbrizzi” of Poggibonsi and a selection of fine wines; 3rd prize, a selection of fine wines.
