Tradition, shows, and irony. These will once again be the ingredients of the Festa del Luca, which returns to the village of San Gusmè, in the township of Castelnuovo Berardenga, Saturday and Sunday, September 2 and 3 and from Thursday, September 6 to Sunday, September 10.
Like every year, there will be and traditional shows remembering Luca Cava, bizzarre character of Tuscan and Castelnuovo folklore.
He is honored with a strange statue at the entrance to the village: a man bent over with his hat while taking care of his daily functions. Next to it is a sign. It translates like this: “king, emperor, father, philosopher, poet, farmer and factory worker: don’t laugh… Think about yourselves”.
The rich program includes the presenceof big show names on a national level: Dario Ballantini, Daniela Morozzi, Paolo Hendel, Giobbe Covatta.
There will also be meeting, trekking, food stands, and the national finals of the Palio della Botte. Fun will be had by all: info 345 9308292 – firstname.lastname@example.org. Complete program: www.sangusme.it.
