On Sunday, December 11 (and in some cases starting the day before) the appointment with “Cantine Aperte a Natale” (Open Wine Cellars for Christmas) returns.
The event is promoted by the Tourist Movement for Tuscan wine (MTV). Many cellars have decided to join the initiative, “A Natale regala una cantina” (Give a wine cellar gift at Christmas), a new way to spend the holiday season.
“We invite everyone to our wine cellars to become familiar with the passion and emotion which gives life to our wines” explains Violante Gardini, President of the movement “For this occasion, Cantine Aperte a Natale, we wanted to create the possibility for our guests to acquire a Gift voucher for a visit to our wine cellars which they can give to other people.”
In the tens of Tuscan wineries belonging to the initiative, for every purchase of 50 euros of wine during “Open Cellars” day you will receive a voucher for a visit by two people to the same cellar where the wine was purchased.
The voucher can be used from January 10 to March 31, 2017. There will be other activities created by the wineries for the visitors, thus creating a unique atmosphere; not only the classic wine tasting but shows, music, opening of vintage wines and many other Christmas experiences.
From May to Christmas, wineries who are members of the MTV open their doors to the public, favoring direct contact. “Cantine aperte” has become a philosophy, a style of travel and of the discovery of Italian wine growing areas, which welcome more and more tourists every year.
These are wine fans who wants to have an unusual experience. ”Cantine Aperte” guarantees its consumers quality and professionalism, distinctive traits of participating wineries.
