In Castelnuovo Berardenga the doors of the Landscape Museum reopen after months of closure due to the Covid-19 emergency.
From Tuesday 4 May the Museum will return to welcome visitors with visits enriched by interactive tools to rediscover the territory through its landscape, natural and food and wine excellences.
It will also be possible to visit Luca Pancrazzi’s exhibition “Paesaggio Civico Variato”, hosted in the section dedicated to temporary exhibitions, and the site-specific installation “Is it raining or not?” in the Civic Tower of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
The museum will be open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 to 13, and on Fridays, from 10 to 13 and from 16 to 19.
Reservations are recommended by writing to the e-mail address museo@comune.castelnuovo.si.it or by calling 0577-351337 during the museum’s opening hours.
The Landscape Museum, housed since 1999 in a late 19th century building in via Chianti, has been redeveloped with a new layout inaugurated last October and promoted by the Municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga with the contribution of Gal Leader Siena, the Tuscan Region and the Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation and the collaboration of the Sienese Museums Foundation and the University of Siena.
Today the museum offers interactive contents and tools capable of involving visitors with audio and video contributions accessible to all, a space dedicated to locally produced wines, a consultation area of the Archivio della Memoria, a section dedicated to temporary exhibitions and a outdoor garden.
