On Saturday 21st April, the 37th Sagra del Cinghiale, or Wild Boar Festival, opened at the Circolo Arci in Chiocchio (near Greve in Chianti).
Wild boar is one of Tuscany’s typical dishes, and if you’re in the area you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to try it.
The Sagra continues on Sunday 22nd April (for lunch and dinner), Tuesday 24th April (dinner), Wednesday 25th April (lunch and dinner), Saturday 28th April (dinner), Sunday 29th April (lunch and dinner), Monday 30th April (dinner).
Last day will be on Tuesday, May 1st (lunch and dinner).
You’ll find all sorts of typical Tuscan delicacies: wild boar-based starters, pasta with wild boar sauce, the delicious wild boar stew, wild boar steaks, and mixed grills.
