Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July in Monsanto (Barberino Val d’Elsa) “Calici d’arte” is back, the event dedicated to locally produced food and wines.
In the setting of Piazza Don Ugo Cianferoni it will be possible to taste dozens of wines from local producers that live up to the Chianti Fiorentino name. Plenty of wine tasting opportunities and a program of events and shows for adults and children including music, art and theatre shows.
The following wine producers will take part in the event: Campino, Fattoria Le Fonti, Poggio al Chiuso, Fattoria Cerbaia, Fattoria Montemorli, Castello di Monsanto, Castello della Paneretta, Isole e Olena, Fattoria Quercia al Poggio, Casa Sola, Podere La Cappella, Le Filigare, Casa Emma, Poggio al Sole, Fattoria La Ripa, Fattoria Montecchio and more.
One of the great events scheduled is “Notte di Stelle”, on Saturday 21st July at 9.30pm, when you’ll be invited to look up at the sky and go onto a fascinating musical discovery of the summer constellations.
Francesco Fontani, astrophysicist of Arcetri, will guide the sky observation with the telescopes of the Unione Astrofili Senesi. The DuWet, piano and voice duo composed by Carmelo Arena and Irene Gonnelli, will make the evening special with their music.
Moreover, during the weekend, the painter Renzo Regoli will participate once again in “Calici d’Arte” with his exhibition of paintings. Along with him, many artists will be able to freely exhibit their art works and paint their creations live. In collaboration with the Renzo Regoliworld painting school.
