Celebrations are going to be truly inviting at the Locanda Mammarosa at Calzaiolo (San Casciano), where an exquisite menu will be served to guests by chef Salvatore Giardinetto.
We start with a Christmas menu that you just can’t miss: Greeting aperitif, festive starter of smoked salmon and swordfish, ham profiteroles, mushroom vol au vents, truffle blinis.
First courses: gratin potato roll; Gragnano mezzi paccheri with stone bass and Roman cauliflower. Intermediate dish: Prawns wrapped in lardo served with artichoke pie.
Second courses: Pistachio and hazelnut-crusted veal medallion with potatoes and chives. Finally the dessert: Christmas Pasticciotto. Price: 38 euro per person, excluding wine.
For New Year’s Eve the party will really take off, with dinner accompanied by live music and followed by dance music and Dj Set. Aperitif with shellfish ‘perle di mare’; as starters: CrudiTrè carpaccio with artichokes; Squid stuffed with leek sauce.
First courses: Acquerello (rice) with shellfish and bergamot; squid ink gnocchetti with cream of salmon sauce. Second course: Seabass “della fortuna”. For dessert: Meringato with chestnut mousse and caramel bignoline. “Greco della Locanda” white wine, water, coffee and digestif. Price: 68 euros per person.
