For lovers of walking, good food & wine, the Gruppo Escursionisti Berardenga organizes a beautiful 9 km walk on the morning of May 1st.
A scenic hike in the territory around Castelnuovo Berardenga, amongst woods, country roads and vineyards, will offer everyone the chance to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the Chianti landscape.
The meeting is set for 9am at the “campo sportivo” (sports field), where the GSD Berardenga will offer breakfast to all hikers.
The departure is scheduled at about 9.30am. For those who don’t have the FIE card, it’s possible to get a daily card before departing, for the price of 5 euros. Hiking shoes are mandatory.
On returning from the walk, it will be possible to enjoy an optional tasting at the Museo del Paesaggio (Landscape Museum), with the fine wines of the Chianti Classico Berardenga accompanied by snacks, for the price of 5 euros for two glasses of your choice among those proposed.
Then you can have lunch at the GSD Berardenga food stalls at the sports field for the cost of 16 euros (adults) and 8 euros (children under 10 years).
With the following menu: Mixed starters (typical Tuscan crostini, cold cuts, fava beans, pecorino) , pasta with meat sauce or tomato sauce, grilled meat with fresh salad and tomatoes, dessert, water and wine.
